Email Notifications

Logify Alert provides you with two independent approaches used to send notifications on new crash reports.


For more information on each approach, see the corresponding section below.

Note: it is recommended that you specify your time zone in the Parameters panel for sending correct date/time values in email notifications.

Send a daily digest

By default, Logify Alert does not send daily digests. To activate this feature, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Settings tab and select an application to be set up.

  2. Select the Notifications | Email node in the settings tree of contents.

  3. Select the Send me a daily digest check box. The changes are automatically saved.

Notify on each crash report

If you have checked the Notify me by email box while creating the current application, Logify Alert notifies you by email each time a new unique crash report is received. By default, emails are sent to your account's email address and contain the following information.

  Subject: [Logify] New Crash Report
  Content:
    URL - the link to the generated crash report;
    App - the name of the crashed application;
    Version - the application version;
    Date - the crash date;
    Exception (s) - a list of exceptions that have occurred.

However, you can change both the notification email and the email template.

Change a notification email

To change a notification email, do the following:

  1. Open the Settings tab and select an application to be set up.

  2. Select the Notifications | Email node in the settings tree of contents.

  3. Click the email to be changed.The Manage tab will be automatically displayed.

  4. Specify the required address where notifications about new Logify reports and daily digests should be sent in the Notification Email box.

  5. Click Save.

Change an email template

The email template is changed from the Email Notifications settings section. To access and modify email settings, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Settings tab and select an application to be set up.

  2. Select the Notifications | Email node in the settings tree of contents.

  3. Check/uncheck the Notify me check box. The changes are automatically saved.

  4. Use the Notify about duplicates check box to specify whether or not Logify Alert should also notify you about duplicate reports, not only about unique ones.

  5. To change the sent emails template, click Edit template and change the shown HTML code as required. To add a specific report field to the template, place the cursor to the required position within the template and click the field name in the Fields list below. Click Save to save the changes.
