Process Reports by Status
Logify Alert automatically assigns the Active status to new crash reports. After that, a user changes the report status according to the working procedure. However, Logify Alert is not considered as an equivalent to a bug-tracking system. It is recommended that you process all Active reports as soon as possible and once the report is processed (fixed, sent to the bug-tracking system, etc.), you change its status to any enumerated below.
The topic consists of the following sections.
Each report stored in Logify Alert has one of the following statuses.
Typically, all of the new reports have this status. It means that this report requires a developer's attention. After developers look through the report information, they move the report to another status according to the development process.
Closed in Version
This status typically means that developers fixed an issue in the specific version. If the same report occurs in other application version - the report is automatically transformed to the Active status.
This status typically means that a crash is fixed in all application versions. If the same report occurs one more time - the report is automatically transformed to the Active status.
Ignored by Rule
An Active report is automatically moved to this status when you change any of the Ignoring application settings and the report starts meeting the new auto-ignore rule.
This status typically means that a crash report might be ignored once. If the same report occurs one more time - the report is automatically transformed to the Active status.
This status typically means that a crash report should be ignored permanently. Reports of this status typically are not connected with the application behavior. For instance, it might a bug in third-party libraries used by your application. If the same report occurs one more time - the report is not reactivated.
Logify Alert supports two options: manual status changes (after a report is received) and automatic status changes (if a report matches any of the auto-ignore rules).
To change the report status manually, follow the steps below.
Open the Crash Reports tab.
Click the corresponding line in the crash reports list and click Details in the ensuing popup section. Logify Alert will open the Report Details that describes the required crash report in details.
Select new status from the Report status drop-down box.
To change statuses of specific reports automatically, set up either Custom Ignoring or Stack-Based Ignoring. All reports that match criteria specified in any of these settings, are automatically transformed to the Ignored by Rule status once they are received.
To filter out reports according to a specific status, switch to the Crash Reports tab, click Open filters and select required statuses from the Status Filter list.
For more information on filtering reports, see the Filter Reports document.
