Logify Alert displays reports sent by your applications on the Crash Reports page. To open this page, click the Crash Reports button on the main menu.
To manage the list of reports and easily find required information on application crashes, you can use the following functionality available on the Crash Reports page.
By default, reports on the Crash Reports page are sorted by last report date in descending order. You can set another criteria to sort reports (application name, number of unique users, number of duplicates, etc.) and change sort direction, if needed.
By default, Logify Alert displays all Active reports sent by all applications you have registered in the service. To view other reports in the list, you can change filter settings on the Crash Reports page.
Logify Alert allows you to easily find reports containing specific text within report fields (exception call stack, exception message, version, etc.).
You can change the status of single and multiple reports on the Crash Reports page.
On the Crash Reports page, you can open a brief preview for any report. It can be useful if it is sufficient to explore only the call stack to determine the cause of an application crash.
To sort reports on the Crash Reports page, click the Sort by link and select the required sorting criteria from the invoked drop-down list.
To change the sort order, click Sort direction on the right of the Sort by link.
- By Applications
If you have several applications registered in Logify Alert, you can filter reports on the Crash Reports page by application name. To do this, click Open filters and select required application names on the Filter panel shown on the right. Note that this panel displays names used when registering applications in the Logify Alert service.
After that, Logify Alert will show reports sent from the specified applications only. Also, if a status filter is applied at the same time, Logify Alert shows reports of the selected statuses only.
- By Statuses
If you need to view reports of the specified statuses only, click Open filters and select the required statuses from the list below application names on the Filter panel shown on the right. Also, if a filter by application names is applied at the same time, Logify Alert shows reports sent by the specified applications only.
To clear the filter, click Clear on the right.
- Search Panel
To find reports that contain specific text within report fields (exception call stack, exception message, version, etc.), click the search icon on the Crash Reports page. On the shown Search panel, enter text to be searched for, select the field to be used for search and click Search.
- Search Reports by Text in Call Stack
Click a report row. The Report Preview section will be shown. Select a phrase in the call stack (within one line) to be searched for. The text will be automatically transformed into a button. Click the button and Logify Alert will automatically open a new Crash Reports page with reports filtered by the text you have specified. Note that the newly opened page saves the same filter by application names that was set on the initial page. The status filter is not taken into account.
On the Crash Reports page, report statuses are indicated with different colors on the right of report rows. You can change report statuses on this page in one of the following ways.
Click a report row and select a new status using the corresponding button in the invoked report preview section.
In the Crash Reports list, select one or several reports using the check boxes at the left of report rows or Select All button. Then, click the Ignore or Close button on the panel above the report list to set selected reports to the Ignored Always or Close in Version status respectively.
When you click a report row on the Crash Reports page, a report preview is shown as an expandable section below this row. This section contains the exception type and the call stack that caused the application crash. Stack lines that are treated as My Code are bold.
You can collapse call stack blocks within the report preview, if needed. To do this, select stack lines to be collapsed and click the plus sign on the left. Logify Alert automatically offers to create the corresponding rule to collapse call stack lines. Click Save to create a rule and command Logify Alert to collapse the specified call stack lines in the current report and all new reports.
